Diplomatic Perspective is a DC-based women-led NGO working to bridge the gap in international affairs for diverse youth and underrepresented young adults. Diplomatic Perspective was founded by 2 HBCU graduates who credit their study abroad and international experience to upward mobility upon return. Our programs increase black students' social and economic success by providing global access. Our 4 main programs include: (1) Diplomatic Leaders Development Program (DLDP), which is a 6-month program for DCPS and Princes George's County 11th and 12th-grade high school students; (2) Global Peace Fellowship, a $10,000 year-long research fellowship for graduate or phD student; (3) HBCU Internship: 6-month paid internship for a current HBCU student (4) REACH: HBCU Global Institute; 3-day conference for HBCU students to get exposed to international affairs and study abroad. All students who complete Diplomatic Perspective programming are eligible to receive a voucher for their first U.S. Passport.
